Welcome to Acks and Ded by me, Dahlia Adler. I’m the founder of LGBTQ Reads, a blogger with B&N Teens, and an author of Young Adult books. There's also a dayjob and child in there somewhere.

I would love to write a whole intelligent post right now, but you see, I’m at my dayjob, and I’ve only got an hour and a half to get out of here so I can relieve my nanny, whom I am very lucky and privileged to have while also ensuring I will never be able to write full time because she also must get paid and damn well deserves it, and thankfully I also make money on the side from blogging, but that made me think, “Hey, I’m pretty good at this blogging thing and care a lot about LGBTQIAP literature, but would love for its coverage to be a little less segmented, so perhaps I will start my own site that covers it all,” and anyway it’s been almost four years since then and where was I?

Oh yeah. Work.

Anyway, if any part of this feels familiar to you, this might be the newsletter for you! Or it might be terrible! I don’t really know; I have no idea when I might write again. But I started it, and isn’t that half the battle?

No?

Well, that explains a lot of the unfinished manuscripts on my computer then.

Sign up now so you don’t miss the first issue.

In the meantime, tell your friends!
